Suggested donation: $30 per participant
Join your neighbors for a community day of giving! Generously hosted by the Hartford Yard Goats, Giving Thanks brings hundreds of volunteers together to help end Period Poverty across Greater Hartford.
Together, we’ll assemble 6,000 Hope In A Bag totes, each filled with a one-month supply of essential period and hygiene products. Through our trusted community partners, the totes will reach neighbors who can put these essentials to use right away.
⏰ Multiple Shifts Available: Assemble totes at 10am or 2pm or join a smaller group for a shorter 12pm shift to reset packing stations for the next crew.
🚗 Free parking is available at 300 Market Street, Hartford, courtesy of LAZ Parking.
🧼 Participation is free. A suggested donation of $30 per participant supports year-round access to essential period and hygiene products.

Do I need to register in advance?
Yes please!
Can I come with my family or a group?
Absolutely! Families, students, workplaces, and community groups are all welcome. Please let us know if you’re volunteering with a specific group so we can keep everyone together during your shift.
Where does the event take place?
We host three shifts across two Hartford & West Hartford locations. Check your confirmation email for your specific site and directions.
Is this event kid-friendly?
Yes! Children ages 8 and up are welcome with a supervising adult.
Do I need to bring anything?
No supplies are needed. Everything will be provided, including all the products and totes for packing. Just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to help your neighbors!
